For full job description and details on how to apply: The EPA has an Immediate vacancy for a Senior Manager (Level 2) in the Research Programme. This is an exciting career opportunity to join the EPA’s Research Programme and lead the strategic development of EPA-funded research. This is a new role and arises following a restructure within the EPA research programme to delineate between pre-award and post-award functions. This Senior Manager will lead the pre-award activities and team including strategically aligning research investments with key environmental challenges. Specifically, this post is required to drive the strategic focus of the programme including strategic foresight, horizon scanning and identifying research priorities for EPA’s research programme. This post will aim to proactively influence policy and legislation, through leveraging our expertise and ensuring our evidence and research is timely, relevant and meets current and emerging needs. The successful person will play a strategically important role in identifying environmental issues, informing policy and developing solutions. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of people and managing key national and international research collaborative relationships and stakeholders.
