For full job description and details on how to apply: The EPA has a vacancy for a Programme Officer I (Level 3) to lead its ICT Service Desk Team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing daily operations of the service desk, managing the service desk team, representing the team within the larger ICT team and helping to ensure that the service desk is constantly developing and improving. The successful candidate will ensure sufficient ICT Service Desk resources are available and effectively applied to help support EPA digital requirements while understanding ICT systems and their limitations. The candidate must be able to suggest ways to use the systems to meet individual customer needs whilst governance around policies, rules, standards and techniques are understood and adhered to. The successful candidate will lead a team and must demonstrate a record of achievement that demonstrates their capacity and management capability to deliver in this challenging role. The person appointed should have the capacity to lead other EPA Functions/Programmes in the future as the assignment and area of work may subsequently change in accordance with organisational requirements. The successful candidate must hold an appropriate degree (NFQ Level 8) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent and five years relevant experience within ICT Service Desk activities or an appropriate diploma (NFQ Level 7) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent and seven years relevant experience within ICT Service Desk activities.
