The EPA has a vacancy for a Senior Inspector (Level 2) in the National Waste Enforcement Programme. The person appointed will be assigned a senior management role and will be responsible for leading a team in the EPA’s National Waste Enforcement Programme which is a core enforcement function of the organisation. The person will contribute to management and continual improvement of the overall Environmental Enforcement Programme. This Programme has responsibility for the implementation of statutory functions, involving in particular the requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency Acts, 1992 to 2012, Waste Management Acts, 1996 to 2007. This includes the enforcement of environmental licences across the waste sector. The operations of the programme are supported by technical and administration teams. The EPA is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate environmental regulatory experience in a National and European context. The candidate must also demonstrate a record of achievement that demonstrates their capacity and leadership capability to deliver in this challenging role. The successful candidate must hold a relevant degree (NFQ Level 8) in science or engineering with a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience.
