Assistant Accountant - Permanent Part Time

I am working on behalf of a trusted and valued client of ours to hire a Permanent Part Time Accountant. This Role is suited to a friendly and diligent employee that will be working in a small and relaxed office. It is a varied role that will keep you active and engaged throughout the week. Room for growth and progression is definitely on the cards for the right candidate. The ideal candidate: Strong with Accounts Payable. Experience with month end processing including reconciliations, journals, tax returns Preparing accounts to trial balance. Experience in the construction industry would be a distinct advantage. Qualified Accounting Technician or part qualified accountant. Responsibilities include: Manage Accounts Payable function. Ensure all creditor reconciliations are completed each month end. Ensure all supplier invoices are posted by the month end close off date. Prepare payment runs for review. Deal with suppliers re queries and payments. Support accounts payable staff. Manage Accounts Receivable function. Ensure all sales invoices, receipts and retentions are up to date. Weekly & Monthly Bank Reconciliation. Accruals & Prepayments. Maintain fixed asset register. Payroll experience. Month end journals. Prepare management accounts, including analysis and reports, for review with Financial Controller. Prepare PAYE, VAT and RCT returns and reconcile to Balance Sheet. Ensure all month end deadlines are strictly adhered to. Other ad hoc duties as required by the finance department.
