Hartley People are currently looking for an experienced, outspoken Ruminant Nutritionist with background in R&D / NPI to join our Client’s team in Waterford. Responsibilities: Co-ordinate the feed technical message from GI including the development of informative articles and on-line content on best practice in animal nutrition. Design and deliver animal nutrition presentations to GI staff and customers. Develop new products and services in the area of ruminant nutrition including pilot testing and research with customers to refine product prototypes. Assist in the development of seasonal feed formulation guidelines for feed products. Develop new product prototypes and innovations in collaboration with third parties, with input from the Commercial and Quality teams, which will deliver value for GI and our farmers. Provision of a farm-level feed formulation service and specialised nutrient plans for GI customers. Requirements: Strong on-going knowledge of ruminant nutrition within the Irish dairy & beef sectors. Experience of R&D, project management and delivery. Good communication skills in delivering technical presentations to various audiences. Ability to motivate others and build effective teams. Organisational agility with a focus on innovation. Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities. Strategic agility and a drive to achieve results. Ability to work alone and as a team member in a competitive working environment. A postgraduate qualification in the area of ruminant nutrition would be a distinct advantage. Interested?
