Fresh Food Area Manager Job South East Here in Excel Recruitment, we are currently recruiting for a Fresh Food Area Manager for a well-known client of ours. Our client is a successful symbol retail group with a number of stores in the southeast. While this is an advisory and support fresh food area role, this is also a hands-on role where you will work closely with the fresh teams in the stores to help increase fresh food sales, maintain high standards, and ensure the fresh food departments achieve overall shop performance. This is an exciting role with a great company that has great resources available to assist and support you in delivering on these values. We are looking for a positive, forward-thinking, and creditable fresh food or Deli Manager, who loves food and achieving results. This role will include travelling within the South East region, you must have a full clean driving license. Responsibilities of this Fresh Food Area Manager Job include but are not limited to: Advising and working closely with the managers and fresh food teams within the stores to assist them in improving sales, margins and managing their costs better. Work closely with all stakeholders across the business, developing new ideas and monitoring trends and competition to ensure the stores are competitive and update with new changes in fresh foods. Working closely with the finance department, looking at ways to increase revenue and save cost in their procurement department and their overall spend on fresh foods. Constantly innovating and looking at new ways to create exciting food offerings, improve standards and stand out from the competition. Regular working on the road, visiting all sites throughout the week, preparing plans for each store and analysing reports to form business plans for the deli departments. Requirements for the job of Fresh Food Area Manager : 4 + year's experience within a Senior Fresh Food Management or retail chef role, within a high profile fresh food store or equal experience to this role. Must be flexible to travel up and down the country visiting all sites regularly. Must demonstrate excellent man-management skills, working within a team environment and must demonstrate key persuasive skills. Effective communication skills and must demonstrate key persuasive skills. The ability to motivate and inspire teams to improve their capabilities. Full, clean driving license.
