Hartley People are currently seeking a Financial Accountant for a hugely successful manufacturing company based in Wexford. This role will naturally progress to a Financial Controller position over a 2 year period. The company will provide very close coaching and development to ensure a smooth progression into the role. The Person: Minimum qualification – Part Qualified Accountant. Minimum 4-5 years working experience in a busy finance Department preferably in a manufacturing environment. Essential: Working knowledge and experience in payroll Department. Some experience of HR and Working Time Act 1997 etc., Working knowledge of Payroll Software – Sage Payroll or Thesaurus. Working knowledge of SAGE Line 50 Accounting Package. Accounts to Trial Balance. Clear understanding of Trading Account and Gross Profit margin in Manufacturing. Banking online and Bank reconciliation. Preparation of Monthly Accruals and Prepayments. Experience of Revenue Returns. VAT, Return of Trading, PAYE, VIES, INTRASTAT. CSO Returns. Debtor maintenance and Credit Control. Creditor Management and Supplier Control. Proficient in Excel Spreadsheets.
