Description

The EPA is seeking to fill a Senior Inspector (Level 2) position in our Environmental Licensing Programme.  Successful candidates can expect challenging yet rewarding work and excellent training and development opportunities. The EPA is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate environmental regulatory, experience in a National and European context.  The Candidate must also demonstrate a record of achievement that demonstrates their capacity and leadership capability to deliver in this challenging role.   The person appointed will be responsible for leading a team in the EPA’s Environmental Licensing Programme which is a core regulatory function of the organisation.  The person will contribute to management and continual improvement of the overall Environmental Licensing Programme.  This Programme has responsibility for licensing and regulating activities across a range of sectors so that they do not endanger human health or harm the environment. These include waste activities, large scale industrial activities, waste water discharges, dumping at sea, the contained use and controlled release of Genetically Modified Organisms and the EU-Emissions Trading Scheme.   The successful candidates must hold an appropriate degree (NFQ Level 8) in Science or Engineering. and a minimum of seven years relevant work experience.   The full range of duties and the essential requirements for this position are set out in the Candidate Information Booklet.
