We are currently looking for a QA/QC Assistant for our Client in the critical goods supply category (food). The successful candidate will be a trainee of and reporting to the Quality Manager and work across all areas of quality assurance and as laboratory stand-in / cover. The candidate must be willing to fulfil their role primarily on site, as most of the time it will not be possible to fulfil this role remotely / working from home. It is Govt. Policy to keep Food Production facilities in business in order to avoid food shortages. This will be done whilst maintaining the highest possible standards to protect the Health & Safety of staff. All HSE guidelines are being closely monitored, adhered to and enforced. Responsibilities: Assisting in the day to day running and management of the Quality Assurance System from raw materials through to finished product. Preparation of samples from various stages of production for despatch to external laboratories. Review of results from external laboratories and tabulating them into reports. Completing weekly quality checks on production departments. Gathering of data and updating of KPI charts for management review. Monitoring and recording of parameters and maintenance of related documentation. Assist the internal auditing system to check for compliance against the documented Quality system. Performing routine laboratory analysis on samples from raw materials through to finished products. Requirements: Previous experience in a Laboratory environment is preferable. Candidate must have experience with compliance and maintenance of a Quality Management System. Proficient IT skills: MS Word, Excel. Clean full drivers licence required. Interested?
