Purpose & Scope. The purpose of this position is to execute and lead multiple Capex projects including ‘Process, digital factory, automation and technical/automation projects’ to transform the daily ways of working throughout the manufacturing facility, improve efficiency and enhance the productivity of the site. The Senior Project Engineer will provide to the technical and operational teams a high level of automation, software and control, process and technical knowledge and expertise, and can apply skills in order to improve efficiency and performance within a high volume, highly automated FMCG environment. The Senior Project Engineer will have a natural understanding of manufacturing processes, and be quick learner and confident to take on new challenges. Core Responsibilities. Project Management. ? End-to-end project management; project conception, justification, through to completion. ? Provide detailed project documentation including Development and completion of Specification, Tenders, URS, DQ, SFAT, IQ, OQ, PAT, SAT protocols (knowledge of GAMP. ? Detailed knowledge and application knowhow in terms of Automation and SCADA systems. ? Understanding and knowledge of controls systems for PLC, MLC and Touschscreens devices. ? Prepare capital requests. Ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out in accordance with company purchasing policies. ? Design; quality, health & safety and environmental best practice into each project and ensure that all project work is completed in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. ? Ability to deliver on deadlines. ? Project tracking and reporting to up line management in terms project delivery, specifically performance, time and cost. ? Supervision/management of vendors and contractors associated with project works. ? Ensure compliance with safety for projects delivery in particular, machinery compliance with the EU machinery directive. ? Support vertical ramp-up of projects and project handover to plant operations team, including providing training to colleagues. ? Identify gaps in manufacturing processes & lead continues improvement projects. ? Link performance and energy objectives to project engineering. ? Other work as requested by the Plant Engineering Manager. Qualifications. Level 8 Degree Essential. Degree in Engineering minimum (Automation, Controls, Mechatronics, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Experience. Background Preferred. Minimum 5 years post qualification experience. 3 years within a FMCG, regulated manufacturing environment. Project Engineering Essential. Proven track record of on time, on budget, project scope delivery in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Project Engineering Essential. Knowledge of safety in projects, in particular machinery compliance with the EU machinery directive.
