Small manufacturing firm in County Wexford, is seeking an individual with experience working in a fast-paced production facility, to improve the operations of the fabrication processes and improve products. Elements of this position are to work with the Production Operatives and the Laboratory on a very hands-on basis to increase efficiencies, reduce scraps and stock levels and deal with a wide-ranging manner of day to day problems. Process Improvements. o Improve SOPs. o Planning of production. o Reduction of scrap. o Reduction of down time. o Refine product specifications to utilize minimum of raw material. o Evaluate new materials and suppliers. o 5S and Lean practice management. Product Improvement. Product Improvement. o Work with management and lab to evaluate alternate materials of construction to reduce costs and increase performance. o Innovate new product designs within parameters dictated by industry standards. Laboratory Operations. o Learn all aspects of testing and measurement of product quality. Quality Management. o Learn and operate quality management system. Involvement in. o H&S systems. o Preventive Maintenance system. o HR issues. Important Attributes: - Self-starting and completer of all task. - Organized and clear communicator. - Team player. - Energetic. - Several years in manufacturing environment. Exposure to materials processing; o Polymers. o Ceramics. o Metals. - Experience working with various types of materials handling and processing equipment.
