It is therefore ESSENTIAL that all candidates have FULL authority to work in Ireland. Our Client, a leading manufacturing company based in Co. Wexford are looking for an energetic individual with previous management and quoting experience which is essential. Having a background as sheet metal fabricator in stainless steel will be a significant advantage. Job description. Production Manager (replacement role. The key elements of this role are: 1. Meet with customers – This important aspect of the role will involve going out to customers to asses their needs. Global steel provide transport for this purpose. 2. Quotations – Complete detail quotations of customers’ needs. 3. Issue Job card to the production floor- on acceptance of the quotation by the customer, schedule and issue a job card to the production floor foreman. 4. People Management. Take responsibility for direct report on all issues through the floor foreman. 5. Job Efficiency- at all times be aware of how the job is progressing and interact with the foreman on these issues. Take corrective action where necessary. 6. Ensure that the scheduled commitment is met- meet delivery dates. 7. Ensure that the quality parameters are achieved- achieved in conjunction with the Forman. 8. Arrange transport using our own dispatch fleet – we have a number of truck and drivers for this purpose. 9. Manage our site work team – as well as our factory operations we have a dedicated site team who also work weekends – this team on the ground is coordinated by the site foreman. Other Requirements. 1. Effectiveness of implementation new procedures in your area. 2 Expediency in getting things done. 3 Demonstrating initiative. 4. Good communication. 5 Team player. Ideal Requirements. Ability to operate Solid Works, Cad or AutoCAD. Reporting structure. This role will report to the General Manager and will career prospects in a dynamic growing company for the right candidate.
