We are recruiting a R&D Engineer to join our Team in Enniscorthy to help us drive new developments and add products to our already impressive portfolio. You will design , develop and implement new products , processes , test methods and equipment to facilitate our expansion. This role is an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself into a R&D environment and learn a broad spectrum of skills in this 360’ role. As R&D Engineer, you will; Initiates new or revised documentation and tracks through appropriate approval cycles and implementation. Maintains a professional working relationship with internal and external customer and support staff. Participates and/or leads cross-functional teams. Provides technical support on components, material methods, systems and equipment. Develops physical and functional test requirements to ensure specifications and regulations are met. Writes, reviews and approves protocols, reports and data. Conducts testing outlined in protocols and test methods. Executes validation studies on equipment and processes. Conducts complaints investigations. Understands and follows company procedures on regulatory requirements. Participates in and provides input to training on department and division procedures, and policies. Analyzes problems in design, process and test development. Prepares and presents oral and written project updates and technical discussions. Develops and implements procedures to provide easy to follow instructions. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and experience in the medical device industry or a Master’s Degree in a technical field. You will be able to make and present engineering decisions and generate engineering proposals. You will have strong problem solving ability using tools such as RCA, 5 Why’s etc.. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written presentation skills. You will have software application skills (SolidWorks, Minitab, MS Office etc., basic comparative statistics, create, review sand coordinate test protocols.
