Our client is a global leader within the medical device manufacturing and are based in County Wexford. They specialise in the manufacture of medical device products, with their company being their centre of excellence for the production of these products. The company employees over 800 people at its facility and this number continues to grow! A new role has opened up for a Sterilization Engineer to join their team. About the job: The Senior Sterizilation Engineer will primarily be responsible for ensuring compliance to all relevant regulations for sterilisation and microbiology which includes the maintaining all quality systems and related documentation. The role will also have responsibility for coordination and control of sterilisation, biocompatibility (finished product and raw materials) and environmental monitoring (including all cleanrooms): Accountabilities include: * Drive the site validation for sterilisation, including all liaisons with the contract steriliser. * Carry out a documented monthly evaluation of cleanrooms. * Sterilisation and cleanroom Validations. * Staff training for sterile release and for overseeing this approval. * Trend analysis of data. * Ensure compliance to ISO and FDA regulatory quality standards. What you'll bring: As the ideal candidate, you'll have a Degree in Engineering/Science alongside knowledge of sterilization (preferably with microbiologgy) and experience in a quality assurance role in an ISO regulated medical device or pharma environment. You'll be interacting with different teams in the organisation, so good communication skills are essential.
