  our client, a leading supermarket chain based in wexford and seeking a. deli charge- hand to join their expanding team.   role and responsibilities include:   to ensure all staff reporting to you are of a minimum required standard of training to work in a fresh food area. to achieve sales, margins and waste targets as agreed with store manager. to ensure duties and functions of staff members are carried out effectively and efficiently. to ensure the highest standard of customer service is given to all customers at all times. to ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to. to ensure purchasing of stock is carried out in accordance with procedures and control of stock rotation, so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest order so as to maximise turnover. to monitor and control department overheads. to ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times. to attend weekly management meetings and hold staff communication meetings regularly. to ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and recorded in your department. to participate in quality review meetings and ensure action plans resulting from same are carried out. to ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standards including a comprehensive haccp plan. to ensure merchandising and presentation of the department is to the highest standard at all times. to ensure standard and promotional pricing is maintained correctly (weekly. to ensure goods in procedures are adhered to. to be aware of and adhere to health & safety regulations relevant to your department and to notify any breaches to management. to perform any other duties as directed to you by management from time to time.   the ideal candidate should have:   experience working in a food related environment. people management experience – essential. haccp working knowledge.   hartley people recruitment work to the highest ethical standards within our industry and we value the trust that you place in us when you send your cv. we can provide a full consultation in confidence and we guarantee that your cv will not be sent to any of our clients without your prior consent. for immediate consideration please call becci on 051-878813 or email your cv in response to this job posting.
