FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager on behalf of a leading agricultural business with 40 years in business. This is a full-time permanent roleand based from Wexford. My client provides agricultural services nationally as well as specialised services to the UK. The different business units have experienced strong growth in the last 2-3 years and as a result of this we now require an Operations Manager to maintain growth levels. This role is designed to take a significant amount of activity from the current Chief Executive and to create the time and focus within this new role to further tap the development of the current business activity. The role will be to drive business growth and commercial. It is not a sales role to clients, it is managing development through existing staff. The key trait is of taking responsibility for other people's actions and making development happen. Duties. Managing a team of Regional Managers working across Ireland and the UK to provide excellent service to our clients. Proactively manage sales performance of the Regional Management team. Continue to develop the capacity of the Regional Management team by motivation, coaching and communication. Maintain and further improve the recruitment system for farm staff. To further develop our existing members/ clients sales level. To develop new membership through management of sales staff. To support this role with marketing, sales tactics, coaching and motivation. To set out targets and tactics to maximise the commercial benefit of the new retail and store facilities when they are built. To deliver on these targets. Taking responsibility for contract numbers development( numbers of farm workers on contract to farms. Taking responsibility for contract numbers development( numbers of farm workers on contract to farms ) Manage the Regional Manager's (RM's) performance and have them reporting directly to this new role. Motivate, Coach, hire and remove RM's if non-performing. Manage the recruitment process with admin support. Make judgement on quality of applicants and make judgement on applicant suitability re jobs availability. Drive the recruitment of farm staff from Eastern Europe and elsewhere. Maintain and develop the recruitment system and process for efficient development. Manage client and worker issues that arise from RM's in conjunction with Claire. Draft a weekly promotion plan for vacancies and applicants. Candidate profile. Substantial experience in business and sales development. Substantial experience of managing people for optimum performance and meeting targets. Experience and interest in working as part of a team and having a style that is positive, proactive and cooperative. Have the ability to make tough decisions and carry them out. Have the ability to interpret data and derive information for tactic development. To be logical and structured in their approach. To be disciplined in managing and developing systems. To be I.T. literate and to be positively inclined towards development of I.T. systems. To have marketing experience, both traditional and On line. To be ambitious and driven to achieve targets. To have a personality that personally accepts responsibility and agreed targets and to work with absolute determination to achieve them. To have an agricultural degree background or equivalent and to have a good knowledge of dairy farming. Renumeration. Attractive base salary & bonus. To apply.
