Job Overview.   Our client, a manufacturing facility based in Wexford is seeking a Senior Buyer (12month contract) to join their diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person seeking a rewarding career in a Supply Chain environment.   Responsibilities include: Management Supply Chain risks through conducting assessments, evaluations and monitoring. Management of supplier negotiations & contractual agreements in line with the company’s financial targets. Vendor relationship management – liaising with vendors to recognise cost saving opportunities. Conduct regular business reviews with key vendors and stakeholders. Carry out reviews and evaluations of purchasing strategies to ensure future requirements are met the company’s growth and changing needs are supported. Perform daily procurement activities in like to pre agreed service level agreements. Assessing supply chain constraints & managing stakeholders expectations during periods of constraints. Work to ensure a seamless new vendor integration & new production introductions.   Qualifications. Bachelor of Business Studies or equivalent primary degree, IIPM Certification and/or APICS Certified. Minimum of 5 years supply chain experience. Experience of design and implementation of best in class standards in Supply Chain processes. Proven track record with Vendor management with negotiation & influencing skills. The following would be desirable, but are not essential: Knowledge of SAP package or equivalent MRP system. Experience of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and compliance to ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 13485:2003. Experience of project management and the ability to lead cross functional teams.
