A leading, innovative device manufacturer who develop minimally invasive coronary and periphery vascular catheters are looking to attract a new Engineering Professional into the team on-site. The business is working through an expansion and given the scale of new product development and tech- transfers into site this position will improve the accuracy of design for manufacture between the engineering operations and R&D departments. The Position. As a new member of the Engineering group on-site you will member of the team you will support the procurement, installation, and validation of all manufacturing equipment for this new product line. It is a challenging position that will require up to three trips to the US. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will also have a dotted line into the Design Manager as you will work closely with both teams on open projects. Lead the design of manufacturing flows from a product development perspective. Drive changes in the current processes around design for manufacture. Take ownership of the project and run daily update calls as required. Design and approve commissioning documentation in line with regulated requirements. You will manage the selection, installation, IQ,OQ,PQ processes on-site. Draft risk documents and compile SOP's ensuring all staff are trained effectively. Contribute to lean initiatives across the business, supporting the application of lean tools, and initiating implementation strategies. Execute validation plans including re-qualification and re-validation projects. Work closely with the R&D department on new manufacturing processes, materials and innovative product designs to ensure accurate and streamlined introductions on-site. The Person. Third level Degree qualified - engineering discipline. Have a minimum of 5 years working in a medical device manufacturing organisation. Be collaborative in your approach and an effective communicator. Engage cross-functionally to deliver on process improvement projects as part of a team. Autonomous and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. The Benefits. €50,000 - €60,000.
