Job Title: Senior Operator / Team Leader x 4. Reporting To: Operations Co-ordinator / Shift Supervisors. Reporting Staff: Operators. ROLE: The role of the Senior Operator / Team Leader is the daily scheduling and supervision of people, materials and equipment in order to achieve specific targets and standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Team Leader must ensure: To ensure staff are at their place of work at the appointed time. Availability and readiness of materials, machines & equipment. Staff are adequately trained to meet and understand the requirements of their job. Staff know and observe company rules. Staff comply with company health & safety regulations. Maintain good hygiene, housekeeping and work practises within the work area. Maintain specified Quality standards. Handle grievances of staff under her/his control in line with company procedures. Carry out disciplinary action in line with company procedures and maintain records. Ensure good communications, employee relations and teamwork within area of control. Report to the production manager on performance of the area and also problems which require attention. Liaise with other areas within the site as required. Achieve area targets and standards through teamwork. The Shift Supervisor / Operations Co-ordinator deputise for the Team Leader in his/her absence. The Team Leader covers for operators in their absence.
