Description

CNC Laser Operator/Programmer. Purpose of the Role: To ensure that the Laser Cell area runs and operates in an effective manner and to maintain flow of parts as required by the Press Brake Area and Main Assembly Factory. This will be achieved by working closely with the main stakeholders in the area. Develop a deep understanding of the products and parts required and work closely with the Cell team to improve flow in the area. Become the ‘in-house expert’ on Laser machines and lead future area improvements and ensure best practice is achieved. Job Description: Responsibilities: System Maintenance: • Maintain all programmes in accordance with company policy. • Assist in the creation of the files as required. • Ensure records are maintained for report and auditing. Non-Conformances: • Manage, resolve and record all internal non-compliances. • Participate in Correcting and Preventative action procedures. • Ensure records are maintained for report and auditing. Calibration & Maintenance: • Manage Calibration System. • Ensure in-house calibration is conducted as required. • Ensure records are maintained for report and auditing. • Ensure World Class Maintenance is maintained on the required equipment. • Ensure Daily/Weekly checks and duties are carried out. Accreditation: • Work as part of the team tasked with maintaining the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 status. Training: • Participate in company training programmes as required. • Ensure other personnel are trained in related issues or equipment. • Cross training on other aspects of the Laser/Press Brake Cell. General: • Ensure compliance to prescribed ISO and Housekeeping processes. • Any additional responsibilities and duties which may from time to time deemed suitable by your manager. Person Specification. Educational Standard: • Trades/Specific Laser Training would be a minimum. Experience: • Basic understanding of the requirements of Laser Programming and Trumpf equipment specifically would be desirable. • Previous work experience is desirable. • Must be fully computer literate, specifically have a good grasp of the Microsoft suite of programs. Key Competencies: • Must possess good investigation skills and be persistent. • Must be able to motivate self and others and show personal initiative. • Must be a strong communicator. • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be performance and results driven. Due to the urgency of this vacancy, our client is not willing to go down the route of work permits/visas/sponsorship, therefore, all candidates must have permission to work in Ireland.
