The Role Manage compliance among the manufacturing team. Support quality initiatives. Ensure the long and short-range planning of production schedules are achieved. Plan and co-ordinate production activities. Develop, manage and review appropriate metrics to highlight and understand issues as they arise. Assist in the development of future operational targets and plans. Work with the planning group to identify short and long term gaps between demand and capacity. Support future budget costing activities. Execute training and development plans for the supervisors and team leader groups. Review training versatility requirements for the manufacturing team and manage appropriately to meet future demand plans. Manage personnel issues within the team as required. Mentor, develop and motivate Supervisors and Team Leaders to achieve targets / metrics for their respective areas. The Person Diploma level or equivalent, ideally B.Sc. in a related discipline. 3 - 5 years Operations Leadership experience. Strong communication and leadership skills. Strong problem solving skills.
