Our client, a leading Hotel based in Co. Kilkenny currently have a vacancy for a Wedding Co-ordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a confident, professional, and motivated and be a people person where guest satisfaction is of the upmost importance. The successful candidate will work with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the sales team to maximise potential profits. Main duties of the role: Responsible for the sales of wedding and event space. Responsible for the whole sales process including meetings, conferences, banquets and groups. Dealing with all customer queries. Dealing with all enquires and responding to enquires within an agreed time frame. Ensure that final details for weddings and events are accurate – attention to detail is key. Issue contracts for confirmed weddings in the agreed time frame. Ensure accuracy of diary management. Being involved in hotels sales projects. To attend wedding fairs, trade shows and organise on site wedding fairs and sales events. The ideal candidate will: 3- 5 years’ experience in the hospitality sector – ideally with experience in events and weddings. Previous experience using Opera software would be a distinct advantage. Be highly motivated and driven. Be a confident and outgoing personality with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. You will have experience in managing and motivating a team and consistently delivering high standards. Be committed to maintaining a high level of quality and service within all aspects of the business. Be flexible and adaptable. Strong attention to detail.
