Operations PMO Manager. Please note this is a 12 month contract role. Overall primary purpose of the role: Working within the EU Operations Change team, responsible for the monitoring and reporting on the Operating & Transformation Plan. Manages the collation of data and construction of regular reports; works with the Change Managers & Business Analysts to monitor the delivery of work streams against plans, chasing and challenging progress as appropriate. Continually striving to be the central source of reporting of project status. Supports EU Change Leader to manage the Change and Ops SME resource for all projects in the Operating & Transformation Plans in order to inform decision making by the Ops Leadership in terms of prioritisation, dependencies and gaps in resourcing. Provide assurance and sharing of best practice for project and programme management methodology in accordance with the Company standards and in line with the Ops Change Management Framework. Supporting EU Ops Change Leader with other PMO related activities as required. Essential Job Functions. Essential Function/Task. The essential functions/tasks associated with the role: • Support the EU Ops Change Leader and team, in the management of the Operating & Transformation Plan to ensure all projects are managed in line with the change framework and that delivery is monitored and reported against the wider programme plan(s):- o Implementation and adherence to the governance framework. o Provision of status reporting on all projects across multiple Ops business teams. o Working with the Change Managers to monitor the progress of initiative plans against deliverables and key milestones. • Lead the development and implementation for making improvements on project and PMO capabilities to ensure control across project/programme deliveries. Performing regular quality assurance audits of projects to assure best practise adherence. • Collate status reporting from each of the delivery program streams and prepare the program reporting pack on a weekly basis. • Managing programme risks, issues, dependencies and interfaces to ensure potential problems are identified and controlled. • Provide reporting metrics to the EU Ops Change Leader that facilitate prioritisation, capacity planning and risk management decisions as part of the Change Advisory Board. • Be an advocate for best practise and provide support and coaching on all aspects of project management to Change Managers, Business Analysts and Change Agents across Operations. • Manage the forward view of capacity and demand across the timeframe of the operating plan. • Communication with key PMO stakeholders in the BPMO and IT functions to ensure project RAG status is aligned. • Maintain up to date knowledge of the Company’s CRA & Debt Services projects across the EU. • Requirement to travel to UK as needed. • Other additional duties as can be reasonably required to fulfil the role. Knowledge Areas. • Experience in a similar role dealing with multiple resource types applied to a variety of projects. • Experience in creating tools and techniques to ensure PMO governance is in place. • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools. • Understand the principles of successful programme management from a support perspective. • Strong analytical and Excel skills. • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and present across all levels of seniority within organisations. • Ability to produce management report templates and presentations from concepts and rough drafts. • Strong organisational skills. • Ability to manage and prioritise own time effectively. • Ability to work to demanding timescales and deadlines. Experience Requirements. • 3+ years’ experience working in a PMO function. • Experienced user of Excel and MS Office toolset (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. • Experience of reporting and presenting at all levels of the organisation. • Have the ability to work under pressure in a complex environment and to tight timelines. • Highly organised, disciplined and driven to deliver the required results. • Have a hands-on approach to issue resolution. • Service-orientated ethos. • Integrity. • Enthusiasm. • Attention to details and quality of production proactive stance. • Self-motivated. • Adaptable and willing to accept tasks determined by the need of the moment. Qualifications. • MSP qualified preferable. • Prince 2 Foundation (minimum), ideally Practitioner.
