This globally renowned medical device organisation that produce numerous medical device types. At their site in Ireland the organisation manufacture angioplasty catheters that are used to unblock arteries in both coronary and peripheral procedures. The organisation are experiencing rapid growth at this site in Ireland, where they employ 400 individuals, due to the introduction of a new medical device product. As such they require an EHS Coordinator to join their team. The Position: As the EHS Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the EHS activities onsite. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Additional responsibilities include; Developing and improving management systems, ensuring EHS standards of the site are met. Coordination of committees and activities surrounding safety onsite. Lead site audits, which includes corporate inspections that are carried out annually. Act a leader to develop and implement EHS initiatives throughout the site, along with implementing continuous improvement EHS initiatives. The Person: The successful EHS Coordinator will require a minimum of a diploma in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety, along with 3-5 years experience in a EHS role with previous experience in manufacturing particularly desirable. An extensive knowledge of EHS management systems, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to solve problems are key aspects for this position.
